Welcome to the Spotted Cypress Ranch where we try our best in breeding QUALITY horses that will have that great conformation and temperament that most horsemen are looking for……..whether it is for performance, western pleasure prospect or just a buddy on the trail. We are a small outfit so we do not produce a lot of horses, but from time to time we do have available a well bred Appaloosa, Quarter or Paint horse for your consideration. Because of our love for the horse of color we tried to start with great sock in the beginning. Our horses on the Appaloosa side carrying the great blood lines of Prince Shanon, Prince Pluadit, Mighty Bright, Go Man Go, Top Deck, Simcoes Chinook, Red Eagle, Goer and Wapati. On the Paint and Quarter horse side we have the Doc bloodlines and some of the following great combined as Peppy San Badger, Mr.San Peppy, Peppy, Leo San, Hired Hand, Macanudo, Leo, King, Old Sorrel, Diamond Jim, Pat Star Jr., Lucky Bar, Cuellar, and King Glo. “SCR” is nestled in the Southern regions of Louisiana. Our small community “Pierre Part” is approximately 1 hour 15 minutes south of Baton Rouge and approximately 1 hour and a half to the west of New Orleans. We are surrounded by swamp and some of the largest Cypress trees around with lots of Spanish Moss hanging on them that make up the terrain. Thus “SPOTTED CYPRESS RANCH”.
